"Dick" Devero joined Oakwood as Vice President - Controller and is responsible for a variety of financial reporting functions, including the preparation of financial statements, tax reports, cash ledgers and maintenance of the firm's books of account. He also performs a myriad of other accounting functions, including account reconciliation, portfolio accounting and performance measurement. Dick's mastery of several software applications and his immersion into the details of computerizing accounting functions substantially enhance his and Oakwood's financial reporting productivity.

Prior to Oakwood Dick worked for thirteen years at RNC Capital Management where he proceeded from Accounting Supervisor to Accounting Manager. In 1998 he was made a Vice President and Controller of that firm with responsibility for supervising a broad array of accounting functions. For three years beginning in 1983 Dick was an accounting supervisor at Deseret Pacific Mortgage in Encino, California and, for eight years beginning in 1972, he served as Chief Accountant for Agrix Marketing in Manila, Philippines. Dick's initial position in accounting was with Arthur Anderson in the Philippines from 1968 until 1971, where he was a Senior Auditor.

Dick is a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines and is currently a candidate for the CPA designation in California. Dick enjoys his church group meetings and shopping with his wife on weekends. He also loves sports, especially NBA basketball.
