At Oakwood Capital as Executive
Vice President, Tom focuses on Private Client Wealth Management. Tom was Vice President/Trust Officer and Division Manager for Valley Bank of Nevada (now Bank of America) from 1976 to 1982. As Manager of the Trust Department's Institutional Division, he was responsible for the overall administration of Employee Benefit Trusts and also served as Chairman of the bank's Profit Sharing Plan Administrative Committee. Subsequently, he joined American Bank of Commerce (now Wells Fargo) where he was Vice President/Senior Trust Officer and Manager. In this position, Tom was responsible for the establishment of the bank's Financial Services Department, including the selection and implementation of the trust accounting computer system and the registered investment advisor and depository relationships. He was additionally responsible for marketing and client services. Tom joined RNC Capital Management Co. in 1988 as Vice President and Director of the Bank Division. In his ten years at that organization, he was especially active in developing the firm's institutional business. In addition to being a leading producer in that area, his efforts in client service resulted in an unsurpassed level of client retention. Tom and his wife, Barbara, have been married for over 30 years and have three children, Tom, David and Jennifer. Barbara has a Masters in Education and specializes in teaching children how to read. Tom has an MBA and works as a Manager of Financial Analysis for US Airways. David has a degree in Accounting and works for Ernst & Young. Jennifer has an Interior Design degree and works for an independent design firm based in Southern California. |
